Obituary

Pearl Spivey Johnson, 81, beloved wife of Edward Johnson, entered into rest on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at her residence.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, June 9, 2018 in the Chapel of Warren Baptist Church. The family will receive friends in the chapel from 10:30 AM until service time. Burial will be private.

Mrs. Johnson loved boating and being on the water. She had just gotten brand new Jet Skis for her 81st birthday. Mrs. Johnson loved spending nearly every minute with her love Ed. She especially enjoyed dancing the night away with Ed at the American Legion. Mrs. Johnson loved ministering to others during their times of need and always called her friends to sing “Happy Birthday”. She also will be remembered by her family as the World’s Best Southern Cook.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Johnson is survived by her children, Randy Spivey, Cindy Learn (Ricky), and Julie Hill (Bill); her brother, L.T. Mims, Jr. (Wanda); her grandchildren, Aaron Spivey, William Hill, Lindsey Hill, Valerie Brown (Jason), and Chandler Hill; her great-grandchildren, Kimberly and Jameson Brown; her sister-in-law, Delores Mims; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Vince Spivey; and her brother, Beau Mims.
