Augusta, GA---Mrs. Audrey Kay Newton, 53, entered into rest on Monday, June 17, 2013 at University Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm tomorrow Thursday, June 20, 2013 in the Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Reverend Bobby Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at West View Cemetery.
Mrs. Newton was a born November 15, 1959 in Statesboro, GA and was a graduate of Portal High School. She loved the outdoors, playing Bingo and most of all, she loved her family. She was a beloved person to everyone and will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Newton was preceded in death by her son, Aubrey Christopher Newton and her father Aubrey Finch.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Newton, son, Larry Newton, both of Augusta, GA, son, Jason Newton and wife Dana and daughter Brittany Newton and husband Chris DuBose, all of Jackson, SC, mother, Shelby Finch of Augusta, GA, sister, Shelia Newton and husband Alvin Newton of Jackson, SC, one grandson, Aubrey Newton, one granddaughter, Vivian Newton and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends this evening Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.
Pallbearers will be Chad Newton, Brian Myers, Bradley Briggs, Ronnie Woods, Ron Jadallah and Woody Williams.
