Obituary

Mr. Felix C. “Butch” Bzdula, of Taunton, died Sunday, May 22 in Morton Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Rose Marie (Andru) Bzdula. He was born 67 years ago in Taunton, the son of the late Felix A. and Stella (Machnik) Bzdula. He was educated in Taunton and had been a city resident for most of his life. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as an attendant at the former Paul A. Dever State School for 32 years. He was also employed as a driver for H.L. Bloom’s Bus Lines for 12 years. He was previously employed by Pratt and Whitney in East Hartford, Ct. for 6 years, and was also employed by the Pinkerton Security Agency from 1976 to 1978. Mr. Bzdula was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Germany during the Vietnam era. He was a former member of the Polish American Citizens Club. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing bingo and pool, spending time with his family, and was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. He was a communicant of the Holy Rosary Church in Taunton.
In addition to his wife, he leaves: 1 son: Peter Bzdula and his wife, Tara of Taunton; 2 daughters: Sarah Bzdula and Jillian Bzdula both of Taunton; 1 sister: Catherine Pelletier and her husband, Robert of Evanport, Fla.; 1 grandson: Isaac Bzdula of Taunton, and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Thursday, May 26 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in the V.A. National Cemetery, Bourne. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M..
