Mrs. Helen S. (Mros) Abbott, of Taunton died Monday, September 15 at her resi-
dence, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness. She was the wife of John
R. “Bob” Abbott for 60 years. She was born 83 years ago in Taunton, the daughter
of the late Sidney and Sadie (Korzenowski) Mros. She was educated in Taunton and
had been a lifelong city resident. Mrs. Abbott enjoyed homemaking, spending time
with her family and friends, trips to the casinos in Connecticut and visiting Old Silver
Beach on Cape Cod. She was a communicant of the former Immaculate Conception
Church.
In addition to her husband, she leaves:

Robert T. Abbott of Taunton
1 daughter: Deborah M. Abbott of Taunton
1 brother: Sidney Mros of Taunton
1 grandson: Derek Abbott of Taunton
several nieces and nephews
Mrs. Abbott was also the sister of the late Edmund Mros, Raymond Mros, Frederick
Mros, Henry Mros, Josephine Gilbert, Virginia Gilday and Marion Mros.
Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Expres-
sions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 502 Bed-
