To all of my cousins and their families, my heart goes out to you for your losses. Maureen raised a great family and she always did it with a smile on her face and welcome arms for all of her "extended" families. May you find peace and comfort knowing what wonderful parents you had. Memories of fun ,laughter and love will be with me always. Love Joanne and family

ATTLEBORO, MA,
Condolences to my cousins on the loss of your Mom. I'll be at the service tomorrow but in case we don't have the chance to catch up, a couple of my memories of Aunt Maureen. When we were young she and Uncle Jack came by at Christmas time and gave us all ornaments that she had made out of scallop shells, one for each of us. She had spray painted them gold, with a little glitter, and each one had a different colored small glass ball attached. I was in total awe and couldn't believe that she had made them herself, and had made them for us. I'd never had my own Christmas ornament and thought it was the best thing ever. And then, after our Mom had passed in 1980 Aunt Maureen came by once a week to clean our house. That in itself was a very selfless act, but the thing is, I was always skipping school with my friend Brian, and I'm sure she was "on" to us because we basically ran out the back door when she came in the front door. But she never said a word. Just a couple of memories.

Time passes so swiftly. My family lived next to the Scully's in Raynham for years. We grew up as an extended family, children going back and forth with joys and sorrows through the years. Better neighbors one could not have than the Scully family. There were pool parties at Aunt Bea's and parties in the Scully's back yard. I am ever so greatful to Maureen and Jack for the wonderful people that they were, for the great family that they brought up, and the fond memories that they have left behind. They will be missed. Ray and I send our deepest regrets to Jackie, Susan, Jane and Paula and their families.

Susan, Jane, Paula, and Jack, I am sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. I always enjoyed getting together with her at family gatherings including Long Pond, Canal Cruises, and visits to the Cape! I admired her in so many ways, but especially for her perseverance in fighting to live and for her generosity in sending loads of jewelry for my students in Arizona. She has touched the lives of many and will continue to do so through “Aunt Maureen’s Jewelry Boxes” in my classroom! She was a great lady who will be missed! My prayers are with you! With sympathy, Katie (Grady) Hazen and family

I was so blessed to have met Maureen and her daughter Jane. I will cherish my lily of the valley and remember them each year they blossom. God bless you both.

To the Scully family, I am very sorry for your loss. Aunt Maureen was a very happy and generous person. I always considered her a little special to our family as she was my father's twin. I am sorry that I was not able to attend the service.
