Obituary

Delores E. Dana, 79, of Woonsocket died Monday evening at Trinity Health and Rehab Center surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Donald McLauchlan and Emmanuel C. Dana.
Born in Brooklyn, New York she was a daughter of the late Gordon E. and Beatrice J. (Robarge) Ladieu. She grew up on Staten Island and raised her family there. She lived in Florida for four years before moving to Woonsocket in 1981.
Delores was employed as a waitress at many restaurants and worked at Wrights Farm Restaurant in Nasonville before her retirement.
Family was at the center of Delores life. She persevered in the face of adversity while raising her children after the death of the first husband, Donald McLauchlan, at an early age in 1961.
Delores was a generous contributor to a number of charitable causes and enjoyed crocheting and puzzles. She had a special affection for all animals. Delores will be remembered as a wonderful mother and loved her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by five daughters Donna McLauchlan of Staten Island, N.Y., Beatrice Paquin of Woonsocket, Dorothy Ardin of FL., Deborah “Debbie” Lauria of Staten Island, N.Y., and Kathleen McLauchlan of Woonsocket. She was the sister of Richard A., Raymond P., and Carol A. Ladieu and Lorraine I. Cottrell. She was the mother of the late Roger McLauchlan, and sister of the late Gordon E. Ladieu, Jr., Marjorie Piscopo and Gloria B. Bilotti. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours are Wednesday (TODAY) from 5-8 pm in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Funeral services and burial in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Staten Island, New York.
