While I did not know Fr. Walsh well, I did have the great fortune to be present at some of the masses he said at St. Brigid's church in Lexington and enjoyed his joyful demeanor and insightful homilies. Praying for the repose of his immortal soul-- "Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, & may the light of perpetual love shine upon him. May he & all the faithful departed, thru the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen" Praying also for God's gift of peace, understanding & acceptance for all his loved ones, who must be missing him sorely now.

Fr. Walsh was a welcome weekend presider at Masses in Lexington. We loved his energy' wit, and wisdom. On a hot Sunday when attending Mass could be a labor of love, Fr. Walsh helped us relax into prayer, lighten whatever burdens we brought with us, and listen. There was always a wealth of background knowledge coupled with a certain sav about how to speak God's Word in an accessible way. I don't know how he came by his Irish brogue--he grew up in Wellesley! But it got our attention from the outset, & his message was always something you wanted to remember & review. We'll miss him at Sacred Heart & St. Brigiid. Love and condolences and promise of prayers to Toni and all your family. Mary Lyman RSCJ781558

Although I've known Fr. Walsh for years, I was privileged to be present for so many of his liturgies when I moved to Hingham. The joyful spirit, humor and incredible intelligence that were part of his sermons, not only enlightened us, but left us with a better understanding of Jesus' message. I am profoundly sad and send my love and sympathy to all his wonderful family. Mary Ann Keyes

My deepest sympathies to Father Walsh's family including his Jesuit brothers at the Campion Center. Our friendship from so many years ago was an important influence in my life.

We grew up with the wonderful Walsh family and Hull was the perfect place to spend great years together. Warm regards to all. Paul L Grady
