CSM (Ret) Donald Herbert Caver, Sr., 72, Clarksville, died Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. A memorial service will be held at 12 PM Tuesday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Bob Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with Full Military Honors. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Donald was born on June 25, 1938 in Autauga County, Alabama to the late Raymond Hargel Caver and Vera Agnes Overstreet. He was preceded in death by a brother; Raymond Hargel Caver, Jr. and three sisters; Barbara Ann Caver Shewmake, Shelby Jean Caver, and Valerie Wynell Caver. He was a Retired Command Sergeant Major with more than 30 years of military service. Survivors include his wife; Joyce Ann Caver, three sons; Donald Herbert (Susan) Caver, Jr., Michael Wayne (Linda) Caver, and Kenneth Curtis (Gabina) Caver all of Clarksville, two brothers; Barney Caver and Robert Caver both of Selma, AL, four sisters; Virginia Belle Thompson of Horse Cave, KY, Myra Olivia Workman of Selma, AL, Golda Reed of Jones, AL, and Linda Sue Caver of Selma, AL , two grandchildren; Adam James Caver and Brittany Nicole Caver, and two step-grandchildren; Kyle Myrick and Ethan Myrick. Military will serve as pallbearers.
