Bernice E. Meacham Bernice E. Meacham, 87, Clarksville, died Tuesday, Nov 13, 2007, at Spring Meadows Health Care Center. The funeral will be held at 3 pm Friday at Neal-Tarpley Funeral Chapel with Dr. John D. Laida and Dr. Roger Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Thursday and from 1 pm until the hour of the service Friday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Bernice was born April 8, 1920 in Henry County, TN daughter of the late Rev. Thomas Edward Etheridge and Bessie Plueger Etheridge. She was preceded in death by her husband John Russell (Red) Meacham, a brother Herman Etheridge, and a sister, Maxine Orris. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Clarksville for fifty four years and the Sunshine Sunday School Class. She was the retired owner of the Triangle Cafe and the One Hour Martinizing Cleaners at Hilldale. Survivors include a son, John R. Meacham, Jr (Karen), Clarksville; a daughter, Janice Bisson (Don), Huntsville, AL; grandchildren, Mark Stanley (Lisa), LeAnn Cook, (Michael), and Jenny Nickerson (Matt) and great-grandchildren C.J. Stanley, Jessica Stanley, Stephen Stanley, Alexis Cook, and Nathan Cook. Pallbearers will be Mark Stanley, C.J. Stanley, Stephen Stanley, Matt Nickerson, Michael Cook, and Rich Shadden.
