To Dave's family, Although I know words offer small comfort in your hour of sorrow, I do wish to express my sincere sympathy to you on the loss of your Husband and Dad. With deepest sympathy, Claude & Sara Kern ( little red hot rod)

Our hearts are broken at hearing of Dave’s passing. What a gifted artist he was with the cars that he worked on and the rod world is a little bit dimmer with his passing. My husband had Dave do body work on his non-rod classic car (gasp) and he did magic on it! In the process, we became friends with him and Vickie. Dave’s spirit will live on via all of his rolling works of art!

Dave was a very important person in our family's lives and was deeply loved by each of us. We are truly heartbroken. Godspeed David!

Kirk, I am so sorry to hear about Dave. When I was 12, & looking for a '55, I knocked on Dave's door to see if he knew of any. He swung the door open & said, "WHAT?!". The following summer, after I had one, I rode my bike home with an arm full of parts he gave me. I'll never forget all Dave did for me, a teenage kid hanging around his garage, getting in the way, and him patiently answering my stupid questions. His kindness, and his workmanship, which I've received compliments on, will always be remembered whenever I'm in my '55.

I am very sorry for your loss. I knew Dave for the last several years through his amazing car and hot rod abilities. He did fine work for many of my friends. He was always fun to visit and talk with. He will be missed by many. Bob T.

Our prayer and thoughts are with all of Dave's family. I remember him being at our house when I was really young and helping my dad Wilbur Eiler work on our house. He will be missed by our family.
