My son Matt had many good friends during his Cathedral days, but Ben was one of my favorites. There was an obvious kindness and goodness about him that made him special. I still remember the times he would drive over unannounced, snow plow my driveway and not let me pay him. That was Ben. As we mourn the loss of this fine young man, let us always remember to stay close to our friends and family.

Ben and I had gone to school together from Belzer on through, though he went to Cathedral and I to LC, we still kept in touch. And even after the years past (and thanks to Facebook) a "Hello how are you" wasn't hard to come by. I am so saddened and shocked by the news of his death and how his family will have to deal with the sudden loss of such a perfectly imperfect man. I pray for his entire family and friends, especially Olivia. I pray for peace and comfort that only the Lord can give you now and in the days to come. Many blessings - Chrisney

I'm so sad to hear of Dakin's passing. Sending love and support for his family. He was a good man, loved the outdoors and loved his dad so much. They were together in life so much and now they can be together again, fishing and hunting.
