Phil was a good athlete and a lot of fun to be around. I have so many fond memories growing up with him. We played different sports together and he was always a great friend. Particularly, he was a stand out baseball player and established himself as one of the best catchers in the history of Madison county baseball. I thank him for being my friend growing up and pray his family all blessings in this difficult time. Rest in peace Phil.

Charlie, Joyce, Cindy, Cody, Brady, Mericke and the rest of the family: My heart aches for all of you as you go through this difficult time. I hope you find peace in knowing he is in a better place with no more pain. I have good memories growing up down the road from all of you and I am sending prayers and hugs to all. I will not be able to attend his service due to work but praying for strength for all of you. Cody and Brady he will always be in your heart. Phil Jr I never had the pleasure of meeting you but I am so sorry for your loss.

Charlie, Joyce, Cindy, Brady, Cody, Phil Jr, close friends and extended family.... My deepest condolences to all of you. The things I remember most about Phil would be: that grin, that smile and the laugh... I was blessed to call him a dear friend of mine. He's free of pain and worry. Thoughts and prayers for Phil's family and friends. I have worked with Phil for a few years here at Chrysler and we, his coworkers have lost a great friend and great toolmaker. He will be missed by many.

Charlie,Joyce,Cindy and Phil's sons, I am saddened to hear the news about Phil. You are in my thoughts and prayers. It seems like yesterday we were playing baseball and having the time of our lives. The friendship and memories that we shared will last forever.
