Charles F. Small, of Carver, passed away on September 27, 2013. He was 91 years old. Beloved husband of Alma A. Small. Loving father of Cynthia Noon of Swampscott, Stephen Small, Ph. D and his wife Paula of PA, Linda Wood of W. Peabody and their Mother Theresa MacComisky of Lynn. Cherished grandfather of Ryan Wood of PA, and Christian Wood of Boston.
Charles served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II, and was a Captain with the Waltham Fire Department for 36 years. He was a lifelong sailor who loved the sea. He loved life, and was devoted to his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was a friend to all, and will be deeply missed.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd from 3-7:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St (Rt. 58) Carver. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Kateri church, 126 S. Meadow Rd, Plymouth, on Thursday, October 3rd at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at the Central cemetery in Carver.
