This news was especially hard because not only was Phil a good man, husband, and father of a dear friend, but while growing up I was close to the Ferrese family celebrating birthdays, family bar-b-ques and sleepovers, until moving away from the neighborhood nearly 20 years ago. So, to me, that's how I will always remember Phil, a happy, hard-working family man, who unfortunately was taken away too soon.
