Obituary

Beatrice E. Furnari, age 93, died on August 13, 2010 at Prescott House in North Andover, MA

She was born on October 6, 1916 in Manchester, NH, the oldest daughter of Desire and Edwidge (Martineau) Roy. She grew up in Lawrence, MA. After marrying Maurice Gosselin, she spent 25 years living in Methuen, MA as a homemaker raising her three children. She was an avid seamstress, making most of her children's clothes. She canned and preserved vegetables from the large family garden. She loved parties with family and friends. She later worked as a stitcher until retiring in 1981.

It was her wish on her 80th Birthday, to have a helicopter ride. The arrangements were made by her family and she had a private helicopter ride. She loved it! Just an example of her love for life. She was always young at heart, compassionate, and full of optimism. Even in her 90's she did yoga, weight exercises, played cards and was an avid reader. Her greatest pleasure was her 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She gave unconditional and unwavering love to her family. She will be sadly missed, but her life's example will be remembered by everyone she came into contact.

Beatrice's family includes her daughter, Loretta Campbell and her husband, W. Peter Campbell of Rochester, NH; her daughter, Louise Solimine and fiancé Jack Bienick of Portsmouth, NH; her son, Armand Gosselin and his wife Marina of Orlando, FL . Her grandchildren Gail Coish of Hampton, NH; Lynn Harrington of Redway, California; Peter Solimine and his wife Jane of Lowell, Ma; Jeffrey Solimine and his wife Tracy of Alexandria, NH; Eric Gosselin of Portland, Me. Six great-grandchildren: Trevor Coish, Sydney Coish, Bailey Coish, Jeffrey Solimine, Amanda Solimine and Kevin Solimine; a sister, Lillian Fredette of No. Andover, Ma and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands, Maurice Gosselin and Alfred Furnari.

Burial will take place at a later date.
