Manchester– Mary R. Dobens, 83, died January 4, 2014 at her residence following a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on July 27,1930 the daughter of Walter and Mary (McCarthy) Danielson and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School for Girls. She had been a bookkeeper for Delta Petroleum for over 30 years. She had been a longtime parishioner of St. Catherine Church.
One of her greatest joys was her Sheltie dogs and she enjoyed Lake Winnipesaukee and had been a longtime resident of Weirs Beach.
She is survived by one daughter Kelly Ann Dobens and partner Tammy Stockton of Manchester, and former husband and friend Andrew Dobens. The family wishes to express deep gratitude to her caregiver, Mariella Maria, who cared for her during the last four years, and her most recent caregiver Annette Dube.
Calling hours will be Saturday January 11, 2014 from 12 noon to 2 pm at the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St. A prayer service will be held at 1:30 PM during calling hours.
