South Londonderry School was greatly saddened by the news of Dottie's death. She worked with us for many years and was a Grammie to so many of our students. Her smiling face still shines down on us and we are filled with happy memories from having known such a special person. We know what a great loss this is to her children and grandchildren, whom she loved so dearly. We can all picture her, strapping on her dancing shoes and hitting the ballroom floor once again with her beloved Al. She was the BEST! We will miss her. With love and sympathy to her family. I visited Dottie at her apartment in Milford in April of 07 and we had some great laughs on the old days. She was a true person who respected her family, friends and also a great mentor.

I can remember as a young kid how after stepping on a yellowjacket's nest, I ran to her door, knocked, then ran around the house trying to get away from the stinging while waiting for her to come to the door. She then immediately pulled off my shirt and pants to get the yellowjackets out. She then "painted" me with lotion, watched me for a reaction to the stings, then called my Mom. She was good people, as is her whole family. I will always remember growing up with your family as friends.
