CONDOLENCES (GuestBook)

To the Family. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. Feel free to call upon me if needed. Russ was a GREAT person and I will miss his funny jokes whenever he would come in the Town Offices. He always had a smile and would always have myself and staff laughing. He will be missed.

I was a member of the NH Flying Tigers RC club with Russ. Russ was always working hard for the club whether keeping the field in good shape, serving as Field Marshal, helping with club events or just "shooting the breeze" with the rest of us. He was a great pilot, a great member and a great guy in general.

We are saddened at losing a good friend and flying buddy. Spent lots of hours at the field lying to each other about what great pilots we were and ignored the others who thought they were better. What a good time, lots of good natured ribbing and laughs, the best memories to keep about a great guy. I will miss him. My wife and I send our deepest sympathy to the Goodnow family. Darrell

Russ and I ended up having similar jobs as police officers except I worked at Derry PD. Russ could always be counted on for his solid advice and it always came with a smile. Very upbeat and optimistic. We both owned 10 wheel dump trucks as well. My daughter's long time boyfriend, Tom, now owns Russ's old KW truck. On occasion Russ would pull Tom over to ensure Tom was taking care of the truck. Heaven is definately a better place.
