Steve Edenfield, 57, of Tifton died Monday, April 15, 2013, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2013, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Pastor John Eubanks and Pastor Steve Scarrow will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Trent Pope, Ricky Hart, David Rowe, Julian Rowe, Ricky Parks and Darrell Edenfield will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Edenfield was born on October 9, 1955 in Tifton and was the son of Georgia Jeanette O'Quin Edenfield of Gastonia, North Carolina and the late James Paul Edenfield, Sr. He was a painter and was formerly employed with Dependable Paint Company in Tifton. He was also employed with Billy Baker Painting in Moultrie and he was a member of Friendship Alliance in Moultrie.
Mr. Edenfield is survived by three children, Melissa Torres and husband Juan of Texas, Kevin Edenfield of Tifton and Stephanie Parks of Tifton; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, James Paul Edenfield, Jr. and wife Joy of Gastonia, North Carolina, Gary W. Edenfield and wife Jacqueline of Tifton, Jackie D. Edenfield and wife Diane of Tifton, and Michael L. Edenfield of Tifton; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
